The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linderoth missing with a left hand there. gunter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
gunter needs to keep his hands up - Linderoth had a free shot at his head there.
Linderoth swings for the body but gunter moves out of range.
Linderoth throws a low kick but gunter avoids it.
Linderoth misses with a wild body shot.
Linderoth fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but gunter avoids it really well and circles away.

gunter paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Linderoth shoots in and bounces gunter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

gunter jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Linderoth is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Linderoth and gunter has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

gunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

gunter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Linderoth is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of gunter, into his guard.
gunter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
gunter wants to sweep here but Linderoth controlling him for the moment.

Linderoth postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

gunter ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
gunter lands with a nice combination. Linderoth backs away looking to recover.

That was a close round but I would say that trevor gunter will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Linderoth has hold of gunter's arm. He's looking for a kimura. gunter seems comfortable defending it but Linderoth has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! gunter is real pain and he's forced to tap out! gunter is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Linderoth couldn't care less - he's delighted!
