Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards blocks a head kick by Hare.

Hare shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Richards's guard.
Hare wants to control from the top but Richards keeps moving.
Richards should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Richards had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hare is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Richards Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hare's back instead.

Richards is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Hare has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hare rolls, trying to escape but Richards keeps control of the position.

Richards is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Hare with him. Hare is trying to defend but Richards has an arm under the chin now! Hare grimaces and is forced to tap out!
