PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Quid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kukka Multa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Multa has chosen Pain - Monkey Business as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Quid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kukka Multa!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Multa darts in and clinches Quid up against the cage.
Multa lands with a light punch inside.
Multa blocks an uppercut.
Multa lands with a light punch inside.
Multa scores with a shot to the side of Quid's head.

Quid breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Quid uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Multa.
A lazy left from Multa finds it's target.
Quid connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Multa's hands.
Multa stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Quid is looking to clinch but Multa is avoiding it.
Multa on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Multa swats away the attempt to clinch by Quid.
Quid throws a series of punches but Multa moves out of range.
Multa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Quid.
Quid attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A combination from Quid does no damage.
Quid closes the distance but Multa moves to the side

and Multa counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Multa advances to mount.
Multa in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Quid is in a horrible position here. Multa smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Quid is rocked!

It looks like Johnny Quid has been cut.
Multa punching from mount but Quid doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Oh Quid is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Multa with the ground and pound from mount.

Johnny Quid's cut is getting worse.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Multa with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Multa drops a big elbow. That's hurt Quid! More shots from Multa and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
