Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raul Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osama Robins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mobb Deep - Cold as Ice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raul Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Osama Robins!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Sanchez. No joy for Robins on that attempt.
Robins tries to clinch there but Sanchez circles away.
Sanchez swats away the attempt to clinch by Robins.
Robins lands a head kick. Sanchez smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Osama Robins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robins throws a leg kick which misses Sanchez's front leg but catches the back leg as Sanchez tries to avoid it.

Robins gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Robins wants to get back to striking at distance but Sanchez won't allow it.

With the fighters up against the cage, Robins throws an elbow but misses.

Sanchez goes for a takedown in the clinch but Robins prevents it.
Robins unloads a knee to the mid-section. Sanchez lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Sanchez has Robins pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sanchez pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Robins tumbling to the mat - Sanchez dives into Robins's guard.
Sanchez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Sanchez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sanchez tries to free his leg and advance position but Robins is retaining full guard.

Sanchez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sanchez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Robins keeps working.

Sanchez wants to take a breather but Robins manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Sanchez.
Robins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanchez is one step ahead there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sanchez sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez wants to pass the guard but Robins is keeping the position.
Robins tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Robins can't keep his opponent in guard - Sanchez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sanchez looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Robins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Robins.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Robins is on top in guard.
Sanchez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Robins manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sanchez postures up and lands a big shot to Robins's brow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Robins wants to clinch up but Sanchez keeps it at a distance.

and Robins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Robins.
Robins tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Robins pushes off an throws an elbow but Sanchez leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Robins should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Robins tries a knee to the head but Sanchez blocks it.

Robins wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sanchez has him pressed against the cage.

Sanchez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sanchez manages to end up in side control.

Sanchez jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Robins is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Robins and Sanchez has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Sanchez scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez seems to be looking for submissions.
Sanchez uses his free foot to push down on Robins's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Robins.
Sanchez pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Robins is in a horrible position here. Sanchez smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
You get the feeling that Robins really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Robins is trying to reverse the position but instead Sanchez has taken his back - oops!

Sanchez has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Robins has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Sanchez.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Sanchez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Robins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sanchez, into his guard.
Sanchez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Robins manages to get himself to full guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Robins shoots in and bounces Sanchez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Sanchez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Robins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Robins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sanchez has his foot on Robins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Robins works his way back into a safe position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Robins defends it well.
Osama Robins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sanchez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
