PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mini Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pabpy Obeh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obeh has chosen Quake 2 Big Guns as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obeh circles away from the clinch attempt.

Me closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Obeh goes for a takedown in the clinch but Me prevents it.

Me rushes Obeh and presses him up against the cage.
Me digs a right hand into Obeh's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Obeh's gas tank.

Me clobbers Obeh with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Me breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Me misses with a few strikes there.
Me tries to bum rush Obeh with a series of wild strikes but Obeh uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Me swings for the body but Obeh moves out of range.

Me fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Obeh, pushing him back against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Obeh tries a body shot but Me blocks it.
Me makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Obeh tries to land knees in the clinch but Me avoids the damage to the body.

Obeh pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Me is squirming around, avoiding Obeh's attempts to control the action.

Me pushes Obeh off looking to stand but Obeh dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Mini Me is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Obeh gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Obeh connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Me takes a swing at Obeh's ribcage but misses.
Me takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Me tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Obeh to counter with a crisp jab.

Me is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Obeh has cracked Me with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Obeh lands another huge swinging hook and Me tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Me, before Obeh can land any more shots!
