Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mr Fists (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mr Fists had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Liam Machin!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machin has managed to clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Machin as Fists tries to tie him up.

Machin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Machin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That was a close round but I would say that Mr Fists will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Machin shoots in and bounces Fists off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Machin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fists is surviving well by controlling Machin's body position as best he can.

Mr Fists has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liam Machin.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Fists lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machin circles away quickly and effectively.

Machin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fists was covering up waiting for the punch and Machin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Fists ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fists no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
