Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Toivo Halaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Blood Brothers - Papa Roach as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva moves out of range of the leg kick from Halaus.
A big right from Silva misses.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Halaus fails with an attempt to clinch.
Halaus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Toivo Halaus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Halaus throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range.

Halaus shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Halaus was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Silva wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Halaus cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
Halaus lands a heavy elbow.
Silva really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Halaus cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Halaus wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.

Halaus is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Silva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Silva shrugs it off.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Halaus postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Halaus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Halaus scores with a couple of good head shots there.
