The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamada keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Yamada lands a glancing blow to the side of Perelman's head.
Perelman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yamada's waist but Yamada gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perelman off to one side.
Yamada throws a one two combo.
Yamada leaves Perelman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kane Yamada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manaka Perelman.
Perelman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Perelman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yamada but Yamada pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Yamada tests Perelman's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Yamada bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Perelman fails with a takedown attempt.
Yamada throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Perelman stumbling backwards into the cage! Perelman bounces back off the cage towards Yamada, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Yamada lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Yamada celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
