The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nanini sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Smith to the ground! Nanini dives into full mount looking to finish!
Smith is rocked!
It looks like John Smith has been cut.
Nanini has hold of Smith's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Smith manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Smith is still in real trouble! Can Nanini finish him?
Nanini has control of Smith's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Smith regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nanini quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Nanini but it's paid off an Smith is forced to tap! Nice work by Nanini.
