The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquiao tries to clinch up but Sonnen circles away and keeps his distance.
Pacquiao lands a with a good body shot.
Sonnen slips a jab and a cross from Pacquiao.
Sonnen looks for a takedown but Pacquiao sprawls well.
Sonnen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pacquiao's waist but Pacquiao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sonnen off to one side.
Pacquiao throws the left hand but Sonnen avoids the punch easily.
Pacquiao just misses with a punch to the body.
Pacquiao tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sonnen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pacquiao misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pacquiao works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sonnen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pacquiao counters with a crisp right hand that drops Sonnen! Pacquiao lets Sonnen back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Sonnen is rocked!
Pacquiao lands with a right and another and another! Sonnen is in big trouble! Pacquiao lands again and this time it's lights out for Sonnen! A quality knockout there for Pacquiao.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Manny Pacquiao!
