Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Warren Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Ready (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams comes to the cage accompanied by Bang Your Head. Don Ready is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Warren Adams!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Ready!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams has a takedown stuffed.

Ready gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ready wants to sweep but no luck.
Adams postures up in Ready's guard and throws a big left but Ready blocks it.
Adams trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ready manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

You can see the frustration on Ready's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Adams looks up at the clock and then as Ready takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Adams smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Adams throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Ready is trying to get back to full guard.
Ready has hold of Adams's hands but Adams slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Adams is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ready has managed to free his arm - good work.
Adams is looking to advance position but Ready won't allow it.

Ready wants to control but Adams is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Adams content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Adams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ready keeps working.
Adams is really struggling to control Ready but he's trying to hold on to the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Adams is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ready doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Adams.

Ready is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ready is pressing down on Adams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Adams drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ready looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ready looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ready!

Ready lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Adams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Adams tries to hold on but Ready pushes him away.
Adams is wriggling around trying to escape.

Adams is bucking up trying to escape but Ready cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Adams sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Adams makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Adams.
Ready trying to control the position from guard on top but Adams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Adams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ready postures up and lands a big shot to Adams's brow.
Adams has control of Ready's left arm, preventing Ready from doing any damage.
Ready is working Adams over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ready works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Adams is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Ready is tapping! Great win for Adams!
