Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Elkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dwight Elkins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden throws a hook but Elkins blocks it.
Durden throws a big shot that misses.
Elkins slips under a jab.
Elkins has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Dwight Elkins has been cut.
Durden connects with a right hand. Elkins shakes it off.
Elkins lands with a thumping leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Elkins scores with a takedown into Durden's guard.

Elkins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Elkins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Elkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Durden swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Durden tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Elkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Durden is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Elkins is really struggling to control Durden but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Durden wants to sweep here but Elkins controlling him for the moment.
Elkins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Durden works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Durden lands a nice hook to Elkins's body. Elkins takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Durden gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Elkins to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Elkins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Elkins wants to control from the top but Durden keeps moving.
Durden preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Elkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Elkins with a flurry of punches that miss.

Elkins drops back looking for a leg! Durden is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Durden manages to kick Elkins off! Elkins jumps back into Durden's guard.

Elkins trying to control but Durden is working from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Durden comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Elkins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Durden circles away.
Durden bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Elkins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Durden's waist but Durden gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Elkins off to one side.
Elkins slips a straight right by Durden.

Durden sends Elkins crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Durden is motioning to the referee to let Elkins up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Elkins is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Elkins jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Durden takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Durden fails to land with a series of punches.

Elkins lands a head kick!
Nice takedown defense from Durden. No joy for Elkins on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dwight Elkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Elkins looks for a takedown but Durden sprawls well.
Durden throws a jab but it's blocked by Elkins.
Durden swings for the body but Elkins moves out of range.
Elkins closes the distance and clinches up with Durden, looking for a takedown. Elkins pushes Durden against the cage but Durden circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Elkins ducks under a wild hook from Durden.
Elkins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Durden as he avoids it easily.
Durden loads up on a big right hand but Elkins slips the punch.
Tyler Durden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Elkins looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Durden throws a series of punches but Elkins avoids them all with ease.

Durden lands a left and a right that send Elkins crashing to the mat, dazed. Durden thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Elkins is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Durden cracks Elkins with a left hook right on the temple and Elkins goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Durden lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Elkins is OK!
