The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinte looks for a takedown but Marcos sprawls well.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Marcos lands a jab-cross combination.
Kinte takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Decent striking displayed by Marcos there.
Kinte will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Marcos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kinte shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marcos pinned against the cage. Marcos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

What can Kinte do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Marcos is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Marcos is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kinte defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Kinte is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Marcos pulls his head out easily.

Kinte is staying active underneath Marcos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Marcos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kinte defends it well.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kinte is on top in guard.

Kinte takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Kinte has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marcos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kinte wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marcos keeps working.
