The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaccaro thuds his right hand into Green's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Green moves out of range as Vaccaro throws a body kick.
Green shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vaccaro's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green throws and elbow that misses. Vaccaro uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Green's guard. Nice move by Vaccaro!
Green had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vaccaro is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Green Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vaccaro's back instead.
Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Green misses with a takedown attempt - Vaccaro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Green stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vaccaro.
Green closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vaccaro to the mat! Vaccaro manages to get full guard.
