I think Plague might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Calibrate the Virus by Winter Solstice. Cyrus Plague had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plague ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

McGill closes the distance and pushes Plague back into the ropes.
Plague crunches a lovely knee into McGill's ribcage.
Plague using the Thai plumb to throw knees but McGill has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

McGill wants a takedown but no success here.

Plague manages to break the clinch.

No joy there for Plague, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fighters circle momentarily. Plague darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

McGill dives in and grabs Plague's left leg, looking for a takedown. Plague pushes down on McGill's head and hops out.

McGill shoots in and bounces Plague off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
McGill has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Plague is proving hard to escape from.

Plague is looking for a triangle but McGill pushes his legs off easily.
McGill is fighting to break Plague's control of his arms but Plague is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Plague takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Plague has hold of one of McGill's legs. McGill is fighting the takedown attempt but Plague gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

McGill has his foot on Plague's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Plague works his way back into a safe position though.

McGill is looking for a sweep. Plague is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Plague connects with a nice short shot to McGill's temple.
McGill is refusing to be controlled, as Plague sits in half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Plague working McGill over with strikes.
McGill wants to control but Plague passes into side.
Plague lands a nice forearm strike.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Plague cracks McGill with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Plague has an Americana. McGill didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Plague is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Plague hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
