The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKendrick fails to land with a series of punches.
Ivanov shoots in looking for a takedown. McKendrick tries to sprawl out of it but Ivanov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McKendrick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ivanov just misses with a punch to the body.
McKendrick lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ivanov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ivanov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
McKendrick is looking to control Ivanov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McKendrick avoid being mounted?

McKendrick is looking to improve his position but Ivanov isn't that keen on the idea.
Aleksey Ivanov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ivanov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McKendrick for as long as he can get away with.
