PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tuten Heimer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daemon Torton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heimer comes into the arena with Kenny G - The Movement blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heimer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Torton defends it nicely.
Heimer throws a right and a left that both miss.

Heimer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Torton to the mat! Torton manages to get full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Heimer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Torton is trying to stand.
Torton is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Heimer not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Torton is refusing to be controlled, as Heimer sits in half guard.

Torton is defending against the submission attempts here by Heimer.
Heimer uses his free foot to push down on Torton's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Torton.

Heimer is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Torton has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Torton is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Heimer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Torton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Heimer is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Torton makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Torton.
Torton wants to stand up but Heimer is controlling him.
Heimer wants to pass the guard but Torton is keeping the position.

Heimer is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Torton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Torton has escaped and now he's on top!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Heimer is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Heimer is pushing down on Torton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Torton is fighting to maintain full guard but Heimer has managed to sneak the leg through.

Torton makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Torton is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Heimer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Heimer is pressed up against the cage. Torton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Heimer down to the mat. Heimer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Torton shoots in for a takedown but Heimer shows good takedown defense.
Tuten Heimer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daemon Torton.

That was a close round but I would say that Tuten Heimer will probably get the nod.

Heimer with a poor takedown

and Torton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Heimer's guard now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Heimer is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Torton is looking for a triangle but Heimer pushes his legs off easily.
Heimer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Heimer forces his way into half guard.

Heimer is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Torton still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Torton has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Heimer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Torton is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Torton takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Heimer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Torton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Heimer misses with a body shot.
Heimer moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Heimer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Heimer lands in his opponent's guard.

Heimer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Heimer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Daemon Torton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Torton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
