Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Drwal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veli Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tomasz Drwal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Veli Schwarzeneg!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drwal shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Schwarzeneg napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Schwarzeneg wants to control but Drwal postures up.
Schwarzeneg is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Drwal has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Drwal decides to stand up, so the ref orders Schwarzeneg to his feet.
Drwal shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Schwarzeneg but Schwarzeneg pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Schwarzeneg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Drwal is looking to control Schwarzeneg's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Drwal avoid being mounted?
Schwarzeneg trying to control the action but Drwal is working from the bottom.
Schwarzeneg wants to pass to mount but Drwal is defending the position.

Schwarzeneg seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Drwal does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Schwarzeneg is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Schwarzeneg decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Drwal, up you get!

Schwarzeneg closes the distance and pushes Drwal back into the cage.

Drwal is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Schwarzeneg sees it coming and defends easily.

Schwarzeneg is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Drwal pulls his head out easily.
Schwarzeneg looks gassed!

Drwal is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Schwarzeneg defends it well.
Drwal is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Schwarzeneg throwing punches from his back. He's mounted here but still fighting back.
Schwarzeneg squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Drwal swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Schwarzeneg is now in Drwal's guard. A big mistake from Drwal there, giving up the dominant position!
Schwarzeneg with a flurry of punches that miss.

Drwal looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Drwal keeping moving, preventing Schwarzeneg from controlling successfully.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Schwarzeneg accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Drwal can't keep his opponent in guard - Schwarzeneg advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Drwal is trying to maintain the position but Schwarzeneg is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drwal is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Schwarzeneg decides to stand up.
Drwal gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Schwarzeneg counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Drwal!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomasz Drwal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Schwarzeneg looking to finish Drwal with some ground and pound. This is bad for Drwal!
Drwal tries to hold on but Schwarzeneg postures up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Schwarzeneg trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Schwarzeneg wants to finish this one by submission but Drwal is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Schwarzeneg.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Drwal wants to hold on but Schwarzeneg pushes him away.
Drwal is bucking up trying to escape but Schwarzeneg cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Veli Schwarzeneg dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Drwal doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Schwarzeneg shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Drwal's guard.
Schwarzeneg stays in close to Drwal's body and controls the position.
Schwarzeneg throws a strike but Drwal rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Schwarzeneg scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Drwal swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Schwarzeneg counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Drwal!
Drwal wants to control but Schwarzeneg is having none of it.
Schwarzeneg trying to control but Drwal is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Schwarzeneg working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Schwarzeneg looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Drwal tries to hold on but Schwarzeneg pushes him away.
Drwal slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Drwal is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Schwarzeneg pulls his head out easily.

Drwal moves into full guard.

Schwarzeneg has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Drwal to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Schwarzeneg is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Drwal pulls down on the head and he's put Schwarzeneg to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tomasz Drwal!
