The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ward shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Cage stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ward tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cage paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cage moves out of range of the strikes.

Cage's corner calls for a 1-2. Cage obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Palmer Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ward takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ward tries to clinch but Cage is having none of it.

Ward is backing up but Cage catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Ward covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Cage Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
