The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Funktastic.

Russo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Funktastic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Funktastic shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Russo sprawls well. Russo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Funktastic gets slowly back to his feet.

Funktastic shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
