Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mark Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Carlo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sammy Carlo!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dunn.
Dunn shoots in looking for a takedown. Carlo tries to sprawl out of it but Dunn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carlo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dunn misses with a takedown attempt - Carlo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Dunn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carlo keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dunn dives in and grabs Carlo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carlo pushes down on Dunn's head and hops out.

Dunn closes the distance and clinches up with Carlo, looking for a takedown. Dunn pushes Carlo against the cage but Carlo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dunn shoots for a double leg takedown but Carlo sprawls well. He's pushed Dunn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Carlo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dunn shoots in and drives through. Carlo sprawls well.
Carlo slaps away a takedown attempt from Dunn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dunn throws a hook but Carlo blocks it.
Dunn shoots in looking for a takedown. Carlo tries to sprawl out of it but Dunn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carlo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Carlo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Carlo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Carlo.

Carlo stuffs the takedown attempt from Dunn. Dunn gets slowly back to his feet.
Dunn shoots in and drives through. Carlo sprawls well.
Dunn fails with the takedown.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A punch combination from Carlo misses.
A combination from Carlo does no damage.
Carlo misses with a double jab.
Carlo keeps the fight on the outside.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Carlo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Dunn backs up against the cage.
Dunn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carlo.

Carlo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dunn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carlo is fending him off so far but Dunn persists. Nope, Carlo circles away and we're back to standing.
Dunn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carlo swivels and escapes.
Dunn tries to clinch up.

Dunn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Nice takedown defense from Carlo. No joy for Dunn on that attempt.
Dunn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carlo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dunn somewhat.

Dunn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carlo's waist but Carlo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dunn off to one side.

Sammy Carlo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Carlo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dunn tries to clinch up but Carlo circles away and keeps his distance.
Dunn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carlo sprawls well. Carlo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dunn gets slowly back to his feet.

Carlo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dunn prevents Carlo from standing back up.
Dunn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carlo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carlo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dunn drops an elbow to the side of Carlo's head.
Dunn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dunn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dunn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dunn stops Carlo from getting back to his feet.
Carlo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dunn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dunn is looking for a kimura but Carlo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dunn to get the leverage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mark Dunn showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Carlo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
