Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asher Lee!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Whitewash!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitewash drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Whitewash lunges at Lee with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lee's hand.
Whitewash dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Whitewash's head and hops out.

Whitewash shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Whitewash landing with the ground and pound.
Whitewash scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Whitewash works over Lee with some ground and pound from guard.
Whitewash postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Lee wants to stand and escape but Whitewash is having none of it.
Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Whitewash is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Whitewash has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lee keeping moving, preventing Whitewash from controlling successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lee is on top in guard.

Lee stands and steps away. Whitewash gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Whitewash swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Whitewash throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Whitewash off to one side.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Whitewash.
Asher Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Whitewash.
Whitewash throws a hook but Lee blocks it.
Whitewash swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Whitewash lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lee circles away quickly and effectively.
Whitewash takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Whitewash throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A jab lands there for Lee.
Whitewash shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lee but Lee pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Whitewash looks gassed!
Donk. Lee catches Whitewash right on the button with a cross.
Lee lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Whitewash fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Billy Whitewash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee tests Whitewash's chin there with a solid looking shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Jab from Lee.
Lee scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Lee scores with a nice head shot.


Whitewash is rocked!
Whitewash drops his hands momentarily. Lee doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Whitewash staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Whitewash doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Asher Lee!
Asher Lee retains his middleweight title!
