The crowd seem to be enjoying Lopez's choice of entrance music: Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Lopez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cote wants to clinch.

Cote tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lopez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lopez's corner calls for a 1-2. Lopez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cote has a takedown stuffed.
Nice sprawl there from Lopez as Cote shoots in.
Lopez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Cote shoots in looking for a takedown. Lopez tries to sprawl out of it but Cote keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lopez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Cote. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cote moves forwards but Lopez connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Lopez slaps away a takedown attempt from Cote, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Cote looks up at the clock. Bad move! Lopez lands a right hand from hell, dropping Cote. Lopez pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
