The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglass shoots in and bounces Maia off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Douglass drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Maia dives on top into guard.

Maia stands and throws Douglass's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maia is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Douglass is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
