Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minowa Shittu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Star feints and as Shittu raises his hands in defense, Star changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Star tries to free his leg and advance position but Shittu is retaining full guard.
Star stopping the sweep attempt from Shittu.
Star sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shittu's guard.
Shittu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Star. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shittu is refusing to be controlled, as Star sits in half guard.

Star tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Star looks for a takedown but Shittu sprawls well.

Star changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shittu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shittu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Star defends it well.

The fighters are battling for position here. Star manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Star is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Shittu is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Star asserts his dominance and retains side control.

It looks like Scott Star has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fight stays on the outside here - Star looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Star scores a takedown into full mount!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Shittu is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Star works his foot free and advances to mount.

Star goes for an armbar but Shittu turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Shittu.

Shittu stands and throws Star's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Star had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shittu is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Star Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shittu's back instead.
Shittu turns into Star and is now in his guard.

Star manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shittu manages to get himself to full guard.

Star loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Star is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Scott Star overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Star wants to get up but he can't break Shittu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Star is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Shittu is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Shittu has escaped and now he's on top!

Star isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Shittu stacks Star on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Shittu!

Star has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Shittu. Oh but Star has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Shittu goes limp - he's gone! Star jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
