Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Punchy McPunches (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sad Panda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sad Panda has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Punchy McPunches!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sad Panda !
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPunches punishes Panda 's body with a nice straight punch.

Panda closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Panda content to control rather than advance.

McPunches kicks off Panda and gets to his feet.
Panda throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
McPunches throws a hook but Panda blocks it.
McPunches swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Panda displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McPunches throws out the jab.
McPunches missing with a left hand there. Panda was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McPunches throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McPunches lands a nice shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A slow jab from McPunches misses its intended target.
Panda tries a head kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice shot lands for McPunches.


It looks like Sad Panda has been cut.
Panda looks gassed!
McPunches swinging wildly here.

Panda gets a takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McPunches is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
McPunches is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Panda is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Panda wants to stand up but McPunches has a hold of him and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McPunches controlling the position for now.
Panda trying to pass the guard but McPunches defending well.
Panda prevents McPunches from standing back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McPunches gets back to full guard.
Panda stopping the sweep attempt from McPunches.
McPunches looking to control.
Panda seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Panda trying to control the position from guard on top but McPunches is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Panda decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Panda is trying hard to land a takedown here. McPunches sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McPunches throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Panda tries to clinch there but McPunches circles away.
McPunches takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Punchy McPunches dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sad Panda 's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


McPunches keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McPunches darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The fighters circling - McPunches throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Panda shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McPunches's guard.
Panda throws a strike but McPunches rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McPunches works over Panda with some ground and pound from guard.
McPunches throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
McPunches throwing strikes but missing.
McPunches scoring with punches to the head and body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Panda is trying to control the position but McPunches postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McPunches keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Panda 's head.


The cut above Sad Panda 's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sad Panda 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Punchy McPunches!
