Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase's entrance music is All the Above - Maino. A fine choice. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Chase!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Wells!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase digs a good body shot into Wells's ribs.

Wells shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chase napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Chase is looking to regain half guard here but Wells keeps moving and retains side control.

Ryan Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wells throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chase's waist but Chase gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wells off to one side.
Chase displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wells.
John Chase has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Wells.
Wells closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chase circles away.
Wells dives in and grabs Chase's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chase pushes down on Wells's head and hops out.

Chase got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wells has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chase has managed to get both his arms back between Wells's legs - danger averted.
Wells thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Chase stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wells swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Wells has momentary wrist control but Chase slips an elbow through the middle.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wells utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chase pushes down on Wells's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Chase is looking to take a break and control but Wells is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wells has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chase looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Wells looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Wells wants to get back to full guard.
Chase not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Chase throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wells on the side of the head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Chase throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chase accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wells shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Chase comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Chase goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Chase drives through and clinches with Wells against the cage.
Wells avoiding damage as Chase throws knees to the body.

John Chase showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Chase has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
