Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, T Rex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roddy Bowes!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowes is looking to clinch.

Bowes has Rex up against the cage in a clinch.
Bowes lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bowes slowing the pace effectively.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Bowes just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rex's brow.
Bowes lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bowes lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Bowes throws an elbow that misses.
Rex blocks the elbow strike.
Bowes lands an elbow inside that Rex shrugs off.


It looks like T Rex has been cut.
Rex blocking some punches.
Bowes leaning against his opponent.
Bowes continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Bowes lands with a short shot to the head.
Bowes fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Bowes fails to land.
Rex can't break the clinch.
Bowes lands a nice uppercut.
Bowes keeps control of Rex as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Rex blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bowes lands an elbow inside.
Rex blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Bowes lands a nice uppercut.
Bowes lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Bowes effectively controlling the action here.
Rex tries to break the clinch but Bowes is controlling the position.
Rex avoids the elbow strike from Bowes, against the cage.
Bowes is pressed up against the cage. Rex has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bowes down to the mat. Bowes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bowes misses with a looping left.
Rex uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bowes.
Roddy Bowes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rex uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bowes has time to react.
Bowes throws the left hand but Rex avoids the punch easily.
Bowes throws a hook but Rex blocks it.
Rex takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Bowes thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rex dodges the punch combination from Bowes.
Rex swinging wildly here.

Bowes wants to clinch.
Bowes loads up on a big right hand but Rex slips the punch.
Rex needs to keep his hands up - Bowes had a free shot at his head there.
Bowes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bowes wants it to stay on the feet.
Rex blocks a jab.
Bowes throws a leg kick which misses Rex's front leg but catches the back leg as Rex tries to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rex throws a right hand that Bowes ducks under and follows up with a left that Bowes also avoids with ease.
Bowes stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for T Rex. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rex is breathing heavily.
Bowes tries to clinch up.
Rex fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Bowes misses with a looping right.
Bowes is looking to clinch but Rex is avoiding it.
Rex avoids the head kick by Bowes.

Rex scores a takedown into full mount!
Bowes is working to get back to half guard.
Bowes wants to control but Rex is having none of it.
Rex landing strikes, looking to finish!
Rex pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bowes is desperately trying to improve his position but Rex has a good base and remains in mount.
Bowes bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Bowes is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Bowes thows a big elbow that misses.
Rex wants to sweep but no luck.
Bowes in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bowes trying to control but Rex is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bowes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bowes trying to control the position from guard on top but Rex is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rex wants to sweep here but Bowes controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roddy Bowes dominated that round.
The cut man is working on T Rex's cut.
That's time! Rex's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bowes moves out of range as Rex strikes.
Rex takes one on the button.

Bowes drops his shoulder and cracks Rex with a huge uppercut! Rex goes down! Can Bowes finish him?


Rex is rocked!

Bowes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rex wants to sweep but no luck.
Bowes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rex is proving hard to escape from.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bowes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bowes throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rex pulls Bowes in close to prevent any damage.
Rex is trying to keep Bowes in close.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rex avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rex circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rex shoots for a double leg takedown but Bowes sprawls well. He's pushed Rex's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bowes throws a big shot that misses.
Bowes tries to clinch there but Rex circles away.
Bowes misses the jab.

Rex shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bowes can't escape the position.
Rex raining down shots from the mount!

Rex has isolated one of Bowes's arms. Bowes looking to fight him off but Rex twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
