PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mylly Nyrkki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taj al Din (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying al Din's choice of entrance music: FEARLESS. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Taj al Din enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mylly Nyrkki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Taj al Din!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Nyrkki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nyrkki takes a kick to the side of the head.
al Din lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Nyrkki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nyrkki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nyrkki swinging wildly here.
Nyrkki throws a series of punches but al Din moves out of range.
Nyrkki tries to clinch up.
A nice leg kick lands there from al Din.
Nyrkki tries to score a power double leg takedown but al Din sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nyrkki somewhat.
al Din throws a leg kick which misses Nyrkki's front leg but catches the back leg as Nyrkki tries to avoid it.
Nyrkki is breathing heavily.
A combination from Nyrkki does no damage.
al Din with a body punch. A glancing blow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
al Din dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nyrkki. That did some damage!
al Din lands with a nice body kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for al Din.
al Din lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nyrkki at a distance.
al Din feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nyrkki's calf.
al Din lands a head kick!
al Din lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nyrkki on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Nyrkki walks straight into a right hand from al Din - that's dropped him! al Din jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nyrkki from any more punishment! Nyrkki complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
