Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dorian Vodopia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Axe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vodopia's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Whiskey in the Jar. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vodopia tries to move into range but Axe moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Axe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Vodopia fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Axe scores with a nice strike.
Vodopia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Vodopia closes the distance and pushes Axe back into the cage.
Vodopia doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Vodopia can't get the takedown.

Vodopia is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Axe throws a head punch that misses.

Vodopia is working an open guard so Axe takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Vodopia takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Axe stuns Vodopia with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Axe scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Vodopia checks a leg kick nicely.
Vodopia fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vodopia throws a shot to the body.
Axe uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Vodopia has time to react.
Vodopia takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Stephan Axe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vodopia is breathing heavily.

Vodopia takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Axe connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Axe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Axe, as that shot connected.
Vodopia takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Vodopia shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Axe is looking to improve his position but Vodopia isn't that keen on the idea.
Axe holds on for dear life, controlling Vodopia's posture momentarily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vodopia throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Axe tries to lock up and control but Vodopia gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Vodopia trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Axe wants to hold on but Vodopia pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephan Axe dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Vodopia tries for a takedown but Axe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Axe connects with a looping right hand.
Vodopia drops his hands momentarily and Axe takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Axe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vodopia on the side of the head.
Axe scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Axe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vodopia doesn't seem bothered though.
Axe thuds a left hand into Vodopia's body.
Stephan Axe seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Vodopia takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Axe cracks Vodopia with a good jab.
Oh Vodopia is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vodopia is looking to clinch but Axe is avoiding it.
Axe lands a glancing blow to the side of Vodopia's head.
Axe connects with a single shot there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Vodopia shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Vodopia seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Axe shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Vodopia is backing up but Axe catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Vodopia covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Axe Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
