Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clay Rawls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Ayala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ayala has chosen Nore - Cocaine Cowboys as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ayala fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ayala fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rawls manages to avoid it.
Rawls cracks Ayala with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ayala shoots in but no luck this time.
Rawls changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ayala throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rawls thows a body shot but no joy.

Ayala closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Ayala looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ayala has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rawls's face.

Jorge Ayala showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Rawls's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ayala ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rawls moves away.

Ayala swings for the body but Rawls moves out of range.
Rawls moves in looking to clinch but Ayala pushes him off.
Ayala swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Rawls counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rawls throws the left hand but Ayala avoids the punch easily.
Rawls takes a swing at Ayala's ribcage but misses.
Rawls displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ayala throws out the jab.

Ayala drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ayala controls from within his opponent's guard.

Rawls keeping moving, preventing Ayala from controlling successfully.
Ayala is stalling in the full guard.
Ayala trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ayala controlling from the top position.
Rawls will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Clay Rawls.
