Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Rolling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abe Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakamura has chosen Enter the Ninja - Die Antwoord as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rolling.
A slapping body kick lands there for Rolling.
Rolling lands with an overhand left.
Rolling throws a head kick but Nakamura moves out of range.
Rolling cracks Nakamura with an open hand slap.
Rolling pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nakamura avoids the head kick by Rolling.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Rolling.
Rolling lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nakamura's sensitive parts.

Rolling wants to control from the top but Nakamura keeps moving.

Nakamura goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rolling has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Nakamura but great work by Rolling.

Rolling looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

The referee asks Rolling politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rolling prefers to stall for the moment though.
Rolling's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Nakamura manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Rolling is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nakamura has managed to free his arm - good work.
Nakamura is staying active underneath Rolling, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Nakamura tries to roll over but Rolling keeps him under control.
Rolling wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nakamura keeps working.

Nakamura has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rolling is working away from the top position though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rolling lands a nice short elbow.
Nakamura is trying to get back to full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Rolling throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Nakamura uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rolling.

Nakamura shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rolling's guard.

Nakamura has gone for a leg lock! Rolling slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nakamura's guard.
Rolling stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakamura swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nakamura lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rolling!

Nakamura has hold of Rolling's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rolling manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nakamura prevents Rolling from getting the reversal.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Rolling.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rolling, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
