Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joaquim Maria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rambo has chosen Despo Rutti - Redemption as his entrance music. John Rambo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Rambo!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maria feints and then cracks Rambo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rambo down.
Rambo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Maria fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rambo.
Maria lands with a kick to the ribs.
Rambo looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maria buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rambo on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Maria is looking to slow Rambo down with leg kicks.
Maria lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like John Rambo has been cut.
Maria feints and then cracks Rambo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rambo down.
Maria circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Rambo drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Maria follows Rambo to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joaquim Maria!
