Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Bernie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes into the arena with Run this Town blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Carter. Bernie does a little dance to reset his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bernie passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carter!

Bernie swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Carter is now in Bernie's guard. A big mistake from Bernie there, giving up the dominant position!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bernie fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Bernie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Carter manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Carter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bernie on the ground.
Bernie is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bernie cracks Carter with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
You get the feeling that Carter really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Bernie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Carter looks a forlorn figure.
