The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carter wants to get up but he can't break Gein's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Gein bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carter's guard.
Gein throws and elbow that misses. Carter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gein's guard. Nice move by Carter!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carter has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gein is proving hard to escape from.

Gein has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gein connects with a nice short shot to Carter's temple.
Gein seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gein cracks Carter with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
