Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Goines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Pall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goines's entrance music is Neon Genesis Evangelion - Eva Goes Mental AMV. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goines scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Goines is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Goines frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Pall holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Goines tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Goines takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Goines moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pall has worked his arm free - good work by Pall!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goines is trying to get an arm triangle but Pall is defending well.
Goines tries to advance to mount but Pall denies him.
Pall can't do much from the bottom here.

Goines is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pall knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pall is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Goines is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pall has escaped the position, nice work there.

Goines goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pall has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Goines but great work by Pall.

Pall tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Goines manages to get back to half guard.
Goines is looking for a sweep. Pall is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Goines is pressing down on Pall's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Goines pulls Pall in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Goines is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pall is aware though and is defending well.

Pall is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Goines has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Pall is looking to defend but Goines has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Pall! Goines pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Pall taps out and this one is all over!
