PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Vea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alister The Demon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Demon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Demon. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dominic Vea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alister The Demon!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vea swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The Demon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vea sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten The Demon somewhat.
Vea lands a head shot.
The Demon keeps the fight on the outside.
Vea throws a hook but The Demon blocks it.
The Demon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The Demon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The Demon throws out a loose jab but Vea uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vea takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The Demon scores with a nice strike.
The Demon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The Demon misses with a few strikes there.
Vea throws a series of punches but The Demon avoids them all with ease.
The Demon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vea.
The Demon throws a looping overhand right but Vea ducks down to avoid it.
The Demon throws a shot to the body.
Alister The Demon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vea slips under a jab from The Demon.
Vea walks into a stiff left hand from The Demon.
The Demon scores with a jab to the head.
The Demon paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nice defenses there by Vea.
The Demon throws out a loose jab but Vea uses good head movement to avoid it.
The Demon tries to clinch there but Vea circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The Demon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vea.
Vea on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Vea misses with a wild body shot.
Vea throws a combination that misses
and The Demon counters with a nice body shot.
Vea is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vea ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The Demon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The Demon scores with a sloppy right hand. Vea should have avoided that one.


It looks like Dominic Vea has been cut.
The Demon jabs at Vea's body.

Excellent takedown into side control there by The Demon.
Vea is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but The Demon has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The Demon advances nicely into full mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by The Demon.
Vea sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Demon works his way into full mount!
The Demon controlling his opponent.
Vea can't escape the position.
The Demon putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The Demon sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The Demon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.


Dominic Vea's cut is getting worse.

Vea in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.


Dominic Vea's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Vea can't escape the position.
Vea tries to hold on but The Demon pushes him away.
The referee warns Vea that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Jeez, Dominic Vea's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dominic Vea's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Alister The Demon!
