Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Refn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nicolas Refn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Akira Kazama!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazama lands the left hand.
Refn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Kazama shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Refn defends it nicely.
Refn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kazama was well out of range. Poor timing from Refn.
Refn lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Refn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Refn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kazama stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kazama closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kazama lands in his opponent's guard.

Refn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kazama is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Refn.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kazama closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kazama gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kazama apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
