The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giguere cracks Francisco with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Giguere has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Francisco to stand back up!
It looks like Gabriel Francisco has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Francisco tests Giguere's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Giguere throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Francisco lands the left hand.
Giguere throws a hook but Francisco avoids it easily.
Giguere tries to score with a low kick but Francisco moves his leg out of the way.
Francisco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Francisco throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Giguere takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Giguere misses with an uppercut. Francisco saw that one coming.
Francisco shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Giguere's guard.
Giguere not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Giguere had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Francisco defends it easily.
Francisco advances position into side control!
Francisco wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Giguere, who protects the arm well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Giguere can do anything to dispel that myth.
Francisco tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Giguere really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Francisco . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Giguere is looking to regain half guard here but Francisco keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Francisco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Giguere keeps working.
Giguere tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Francisco wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Francisco is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Giguere is trying to escape and Francisco transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Giguere is forced to tap! Nice work there by Francisco ! Very nice indeed!
