PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Erkki Elastinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Hurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elastinen comes into the arena with Cascada - Dangerous blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurt fails with a takedown attempt.
Hurt shoots in for a double leg but Elastinen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hurt wants to clinch.
Hurt is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Elastinen shoots in and bounces Hurt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hurt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Elastinen is one step ahead there.

Hurt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Elastinen distracts Hurt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hurt being controlled here, momentarily.
Elastinen is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Elastinen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hurt wants to sweep but no luck.
Elastinen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Elastinen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Elastinen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Elastinen works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hurt looks gassed!
Elastinen prevents Hurt from improving his position.

Hurt is looking to get back to is feet but Elastinen passes into side control.
Elastinen happy to just control the position for now.

Elastinen has hold of Hurt's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hurt seems comfortable defending it but Elastinen has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hurt is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hurt is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Elastinen couldn't care less - he's delighted!
