The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emperor tries to bum rush Nancy with a series of wild strikes but Nancy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Emperor shoots in looking for a takedown. Nancy tries to sprawl out of it but Emperor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nancy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Emperor closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nancy wants to stand up but Emperor is controlling him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Emperor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nancy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Emperor has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Emperor and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Nancy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Emperor tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Nancy throws a series of strikes that have Emperor backpedaling.
Nancy throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Emperor stumbling backwards into the cage! Emperor bounces back off the cage towards Nancy, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Nancy lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Nancy celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
