Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Malvin Maldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Conrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maldi comes into the arena with Loituma TECHNO! blaring out of the sound system. Bruce Conrad struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Bruce Conrad has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maldi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Conrad to the mat! Conrad manages to get full guard.

Conrad looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Maldi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Conrad can't do much from the bottom here.
Maldi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Maldi feints and as Conrad raises his hands in defense, Maldi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Maldi stands and throws Conrad's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Maldi wants to control but Conrad is keeping him busy.

Maldi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
