Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathers has chosen Superman as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Donnie Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marshall Mathers!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathers throws a hook but Stevens avoids it easily.
Stevens lands with a nice body kick.
Mathers misses with a wild combination.
Stevens tries to close the distance and clinch but Mathers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stevens is looking to clinch.
Stevens steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mathers.
Mathers looks to land a combination but Stevens avoids it well.
Mathers throws a right and a left that Stevens avoids nicely.
Mathers throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mathers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stevens.
Stevens moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Stevens fails in his attempt to clinch.

Mathers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stevens as he jumps to the side.

Stevens motions for Mathers to come forward. Stevens throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Mathers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stevens looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mathers is working Stevens over with some ground and pound from side control.
Stevens is trying to buck Mathers off.
Stevens sneaks back into half guard.

Stevens is trying to stand up here but Mathers is controlling him well.
Mathers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Mathers lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mathers holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Stevens wants to get up but he can't break Mathers's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mathers looking for a sweep. Not yet Mathers, not yet.
Mathers is trying to control the position but Stevens postures up.
Mathers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Stevens.
Stevens doesn't manage to clinch there - Mathers circles away.
Stevens throws a looping overhand right but Mathers ducks down to avoid it.
Stevens displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mathers throws out the jab.
Mathers lands a slapping body shot.
Mathers swats away the attempt to clinch by Stevens.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mathers connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Stevens fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Stevens lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mathers has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mathers and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Stevens looks to land a left hand but Mathers moved out of range nicely.
Stevens tries a head kick but it misses.

Mathers ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mathers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stevens stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Marshall Mathers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Marshall Mathers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mathers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
