Puno has chosen Fidel Entry Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Maximus Meridius could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fidel Puno's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meridius tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Puno was well out of range. Poor timing from Meridius.
Meridius throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Puno cracks Meridius with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Meridius looks to land a body kick but Puno moved away.
Meridius ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Puno throws a sloppy body shot
letting Meridius counter with a right hand.

It looks like Fidel Puno has been cut.
Meridius is looking to land body kicks.
Meridius lands with a cross.
Meridius throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Puno looks to land a left hand but Meridius moved out of range nicely.
Maximus Meridius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Puno chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Meridius can pounce on him.

Meridius is looking to wear down Puno with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Puno swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Puno scores with a jab. Meridius acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Puno throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Meridius on the side of the head.
Meridius takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Puno cracks Meridius with a hook to the temple - Meridius is on wobbly legs here! Puno swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Meridius falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Puno wins by TKO!
