Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Adler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sherk comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ghost K- Stop kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sean Sherk has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vladimir Adler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sherk moves into the clinch.
Adler wants a takedown.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sherk.
Sherk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sherk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Adler fails to land the takedown.
Adler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sherk.
Adler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladimir Adler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Adler closes the distance and clinches up with Sherk, looking for a takedown. Adler pushes Sherk against the cage but Sherk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sherk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sherk wants it to stay on the feet.

Sherk moves into range and clinches up with Adler.

Sherk pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Adler shoots in for a takedown but Sherk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vladimir Adler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sherk keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Adler takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Vladimir Adler has been cut.
Sherk moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Sherk darts in and clinches Adler up against the cage.

Sherk pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sherk feints and as Adler raises his hands in defense, Sherk changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Adler is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sherk gets to his feet and stands over Adler, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Adler felt that one! Sherk unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Adler from any more punishment!
