Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ferdinand Marcos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Good Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Day has chosen Hifana - Wamono as his entrance music. Ferdinand Marcos is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ferdinand Marcos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Good Day!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day lands with a kick to the temple. Marcos shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Good Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marcos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Day circles away quickly and effectively.
Marcos connects with the punch.
Day falls off balance throwing a combination
and Marcos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Day lands a nice leg kick that just misses Marcos's sensitive parts.
A bone on bone clash there as Marcos blocks the leg kick.
Day tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marcos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Day is looking to chop away at Marcos's legs.
Day throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Marcos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Marcos swats away the attempt to clinch by Day.

A jab from Marcos finds it's way through Day's defenses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Day looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Marcos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Marcos does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Marcos takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Day cracks Marcos with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Marcos has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Day.
Day pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Day throws a half hearted mid kick.
Day scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Day shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Day seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Marcos is not content to let Day control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Day is looking to advance position but Marcos won't allow it.
Day has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Marcos is in all sorts of trouble here.

Day stalling away here and it's allowed Marcos to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Marcos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Day is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Marcos in particular looking to stall.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

That was a close round but Ferdinand Marcos did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
