The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
shearer wants to clinch up but O Brien keeps it at a distance.
O Brien throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around shearer's waist but shearer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing O Brien off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

O Brien goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, shearer has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for O Brien but great work by shearer.
