Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Phi Cho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Ironcrotch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phi Cho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Ironcrotch!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cho misses with a body shot.
Cho throws an overhand right that lands on Ironcrotch's shoulder, as Ironcrotch tries to avoid the shot.
Cho scores with a decent looking hook.
Nice defenses there by Ironcrotch.

Cho pushes Ironcrotch up against the cage in a clinch.

Cho jumps guard.
Ironcrotch would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Ironcrotch tries to free his leg and advance position but Cho is retaining full guard.
Cho utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cho has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Cho is pulling down on Ironcrotch's head. It's preventing any offense from Ironcrotch, at least for the moment.

Ironcrotch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Cho jumps guard and drags Ironcrotch to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ironcrotch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Cho shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cho showed some decent athleticism there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cho seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cho might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cho tries to stand but Ironcrotch is controlling from the bottom.
Cho slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Phi Cho dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ironcrotch tries for a takedown but Cho sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Phi Cho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ironcrotch fails with the takedown.
Cho paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Phi Cho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ironcrotch shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Phi Cho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Ironcrotch.
Ironcrotch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ironcrotch takes a jab right on the kisser.
Ironcrotch avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cho slaps away a takedown attempt from Ironcrotch, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Cho shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ironcrotch napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ironcrotch takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Cho content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Cho's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Cho scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ironcrotch to see if he's OK.
Cho tries to move to mount but Ironcrotch blocks the move with his legs.
Cho wants to control but Ironcrotch is keeping him busy.
Ironcrotch is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cho's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Cho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ironcrotch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cho stops Ironcrotch from getting back to his feet.

Ironcrotch closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cho circles away.

and Ironcrotch finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

and Ironcrotch counters with a head kick. That will keep Cho thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ironcrotch tries to pull guard but Cho holds him up against the cage and eventually Ironcrotch drops back down to his feet.
Ironcrotch wants to get back to striking at distance but Cho won't allow it.
Ironcrotch can't break the clinch.

Cho has had enough of the clinch but Ironcrotch keeps him there for the moment.
A short body shot lands from Cho as the two fighters clinch.

Cho's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ironcrotch tries to break the clinch but Cho is controlling the position.
Ironcrotch wants to stall.
Ironcrotch has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cho avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Phi Cho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Ironcrotch.

Ironcrotch is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cho gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Cho throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ironcrotchs head.

Ironcrotch tries to score a body lock takedown but Cho shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Cho is trying to trip Ironcrotch. He has hold of a leg but Ironcrotch is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cho persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Cho gets to his feet. Ironcrotch looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Cho closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Cho looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Cho is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ironcrotch!

Phi Cho showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Cho has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
