Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Batang Tondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Milsap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Batang Tondo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Milsap!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tondo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tondo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Milsap is fending him off so far but Tondo persists. Nope, Milsap circles away and we're back to standing.
Tondo misses with a two punch combination.
Tondo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Milsap manages to avoid it.
Milsap slips a jab and a cross from Tondo.
Tondo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Milsap swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tondo counters with a right hand to the body.
Tondo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tondo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tondo throws a nice inside leg kick.

Milsap throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tondo was covering up waiting for the punch and Milsap finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Milsap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tondo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tondo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Milsap is proving hard to escape from.

Tondo with a lazy takedown attempt

and Milsap decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tondo's guard.

Milsap got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tondo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Milsap has managed to get both his arms back between Tondo's legs - danger averted.

Milsap looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tondo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tondo is not content to let Milsap control the position.
Well, if Milsap is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Paul Milsap showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
