And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Gatho!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatho fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gatho swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gatho takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rain paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rain lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Ben Gatho has been cut.

Rain has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gatho with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Rain scores with a knee to the head.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Gatho.
Rain is trying to stall.
Rain really is a fat lump.
Gatho is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rain gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Rain misses with an elbow strike.
Rain gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gatho.
Gatho tries a knee to the head but Rain blocks it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rain is trying to maintain a safe position but Gatho gets an underhook and turns Rain into the cage.

Gatho is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rain gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gatho just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rain's brow.
Gatho has Rain pressed against the cage, preventing Rain from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Rain avoids the elbow strike from Gatho, against the cage.

Gatho has hold of one of Rain's legs. Rain is fighting the takedown attempt but Gatho gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Gatho looks gassed!
Rain utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gatho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rain is looking to stand up but Gatho isn't so interested in that idea.
Gatho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Rain wants to get back to his feet but Gatho is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rain keeping moving, preventing Gatho from controlling successfully.

Gatho slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gatho is trying for a kimura here. Rain looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Gatho wins by kimura!
